I've never really been a keep-the-lights-on kind of guy My background is in, sort of, global solution consulting and products and strategy, so for many years I've been sort of understanding problems bringing vision and innovation and thought leadership and that sort of stuff
And that's what I brought to the CIO role eight years ago So, absolutely, keeping the lights on is an important function as part of the IT team, but certainly the the thought leadership, the vision, you know, that's a key role of the CIO
