The state’s initial bets were produced in 10:33 a.m. June 14, 2018, in a ceremony held at Monmouth Park’s William Hill Race & Sports Bar.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City started taking bets. The NJ sports gambling market was off and running.
DraftKings became the first business to provide legal online sports betting at New Jersey on Aug. 6. In short order, more internet sportsbook programs entered the industry before NFL season.
And the market keeps growing.
