SPEAKER: So Let's look at some definitions, thanks in part to our friends from DCE for their input here First definition– and again, we provide you a definition in our first "SAFE" I think in the fall term
But we offered it at our first divisional "SAFE" So we wanted to define just a few more definitions, again, hopefully to help provide context to transformative learning for us So this first definition, transformative learning is a process by which individuals shape and reshape their views of the world in ways that allow learners to think in more complex ways to develop the ability to take multiple perspectives and to better understand how systems of domination and oppression operate in their lives and within their communities OK? So think about that one Developing the ability to connect your story and journey to the process of social change
And the last one, which I think that Michael and I really, really like I change myself to change the world So think about those definitions for a second
